Do I need any experience?
No, S&T focuses on the needs of beginning and intermediate level paddlers. No experience is necessary, only a desire to learn how to safely enjoy a new skill and to have fun.

Do I need a kayak?
No, S&T will be happy to provide you with all the kayak specific gear you need (boat, paddle, PFD, etc.). If you have a boat with watertight bulkheads you are welcome to bring it, please contact us to discuss prior to registration.

Where are the classes usually held?
Our normal class location is at the Ramsey County Beach on the north shore of White Bear Lake. Based on weather conditions we may move to another location on the south side of White Bear Lake. In any case the location will be specified in the pre-class materials.
